How does pet whistle work?
Pets hear the high frequency sounds that we can’t. The frequency range of a pet whistle is largely out of the range of human hearing. Typically, a dog whistle is within the range of 16000 Hz to 22000 Hz with only the frequencies below 20000 Hz audible to the human ear. Depending on the way the whistle is used, a trainer may simply gather a pet’s attention or inflict pain for the purpose of behavior modification. Different breeds react to different high frequecies. Smaller pets are more sensitive to higher frequencies compared to larger ones. Pets lose their hearing as they age just like people do. Test each of the sounds with your pet(s) to see which one(s) works better.

How to find the most effective frequency?
Start the whistle while the pet is at sleep. Pick the one that wake it up at one.

Note: Require speaker to make the whistle and microphone to detect the volume.
Plug in additional headset if your iPod doesn’t have the above ones.
